Diversion through Weston Longville – 24-25 August 2015.

Correspondence received from Highways England regarding roadworks on the A47 Easton Roundabout:-

Dear Sir/Madam

A47 Easton Roundabout Resurfacing

0300 123 5000 www.highways.gov.uk

I am writing to inform you that we will be working on behalf of Highways England to resurface the A47 Easton Roundabout. Both lanes of the roundabout will be resurfaced, including 60m of the A47 westbound exit, and the road markings will be replaced. We will also be undertaking investigation works to Podmore Farm access bridge near the village of Scarning. These works form part of our ongoing maintenance of the road network.

We plan to start the works on Monday 24 August 2015 and they are planned for completion by Tuesday 25 August 2015. We will be working between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 and this may result in extra noise at night from diverted traffic through your parish for which we apologise.

To keep road users at a safe distance from the works we will need to close the A47 in both directions between the A1065 Swaffham Interchange and the A1074 Longwater Interchange. We will put clearly signposted diversion routes in place and you should leave extra time for your journey.

We would be grateful if you would publicise the works to your parishioners through newsletters and other communications where appropriate.

We will do our utmost to complete the works as quickly as possible, avoiding disturbance and keeping noise to a minimum. Once complete, the work at Easton Roundabout will result in an improved road surface for drivers. If you have any enquiries please contact the Highways England Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 5000, or by email to: [email protected]

Yours faithfully

Adam Sharpe
