The Village Hall Committee were successful in their presentation to the Veolia Board of Directors and were awarded £300,000 by the Veolia Environmental Trust for their Building Vital Communities: Three Parishes Project (Attlebridge, Morton-on-the-Hill and Weston Longville). This was fantastic news and meant that the funding, together with funds donated, pledged and promised by individuals and other funders, could be used to build a new hall for all which was officially opened on Sunday 28th October 2012. The hall and its equipment for the playing field, together with the play area, provides a real community centre for the parish. The Village Hall Committee and all those involved are congratulated on their success.
